Charlie - 1st 2 weeks

Merry Christmas!

Great Grandma & Grandpa came to visit from Wisconsin!

I'm all clean from my bath!

Our little thinker!

Things have been very busy around the Knaeble house! Charlie has quickly taken over and our days and nights are filled with eating, sleeping, and changing diapers! He is a great eater and weighed in at 8 lbs 7 oz when he was 11 days old. We had to go in to the doctor on 12.26 to have his eye looked at. His right tear duct is blocked (which apparently is very common) but it looks better already. Charlie doesn't have much of a pattern yet but he does like to be awake more during the night :) When he's sleeping, he makes so many facial expressions that I love to sit and watch him! (I am learning to put him down when he's sleeping so I can get other things done or nap!!) He's really fun when he is awake and alert. His big eyes will just stare at you, the lights, or he will be looking around checking things out. Charlie loves to sit in his bouncer and is starting to like being in his swing. His favorite place to be is in his mom and dad's arms though - which is ok with us :)

His first two weeks have been filled with visitors! It was nice that he was born before Christmas so that family and friends could meet Charlie when they were home for the holidays! We had breakfast on Christmas morning at our house with Grandma Sally & Grandpa Greg. We went down to Grandma Ann & Grandpa Dave's house and spent the afternoon with my family. It was a wonderful day, with Charlie being the best gift of all! New Year's was pretty low key as well - Pete's family came over with some appetizers and champagne (sparkling juice for me!). Charlie fell asleep just before midnight and actually slept great that night! Pete and I enjoyed almost 4 hours of sleep, then 2 more! Thanks Charlie! :) Here are some pictures - he is changing so much every day! I will try and update with pictures often as I know many of you haven't been able to meet him yet! We hope you are all doing well - here's to a great year in 2011!

Love, Pete, Rachel & Charlie
