Pete and I welcomed our precious baby boy into the world on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at 1:50 pm. He made a very quick entrance - 4 hours from the time we checked into the hospital to the time he was born! Both mom and baby did really well and no one could believe how quick it all went! Charlie was 8 lbs 2 oz and 20 inches long. Both sets of grandparents were there to meet their new grandson right away! These are some pictures from our stay in the hospital. Charlie was very sleepy most of the time and had some troubles nursing. Once he woke up a bit more, he figured it out and has been a great eater. Pete and I fell in love with him immediately - the whole process is so amazing and we couldn't really believe he was finally here! As a gift for my shower, Sally, Maggie & Xiao Hui gave me a massage! The spa specializes in massages and treatments for new parents in the hospital, before going home. I had my massage Thursday night and it was wonderful! Pete says I slept through most of it but it felt amazing! We went home Friday morning and began a new chapter in our lives as parents!
