Hey everyone! It's been awhile since I've posted anything! We are now at 32 weeks and have had quite an eventful past week. Last Saturday, we had to say goodbye to the best dog in the world. Buddy got sick suddenly and died early last Saturday morning. He was here at home with me and it all happened pretty fast. Not an easy thing at all. He was such a huge part of our house that it feels empty without him around! We have so many great memories with him and he really was the best dog we could have asked for. Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts - losing a dog is truly losing a member of your family.
Thursday afternoon I went in for my regular appointment with my doctor. Things have been going really good. I explained to her I had been feeling some cramping and she decided to send me to the hospital for some monitoring. It turns out I was having some contractions, not going into labor but defintely contractions. They kept me for about 4 hours and gave me some things to stop the contractions from progressing. I was able to go home that night and am now on bed rest for the next two weeks. My doctor really wants to see us get to 34 weeks and thinks me resting is the best thing to keep this little guy in for awhile longer! I can move between our bed and the couch but not much else! I am still occasionally feeling some cramping pains but not often enough or stong enough to be concerned. So, we'll just see what happens! We see our doctor again next week so she said we'll take it a week at a time. The good thing is that we are 32 weeks and far enough along that if he does come early, our little guy should be mostly ok. We still want to do everything we can to keep him in though!! Pete's been wonderful and spent the weekend getting our room and downstairs ready for me to be laying around - we got a new TV for our room : ) I will keep everyone updated.
Here are a few pictures of my growing belly! I don't look the greatest but it was last night and I had been laying around all day!! Take care everyone!
Love, Pete, Rachel and Baby Boy
